Jack Hale

The Sword of King David
He has a choice—to make history or to save it.
The year is 1996. Jack Hale, a young Marine-turned-journalist is assigned the task of documenting a classified diplomatic visit to Saudi Arabia. Shortly after his arrival, esteemed American archaeologist Dr. Aaron Sharpe is kidnapped.
His abductors are Islamic terrorists in search of Sharpe’s research concerning the location of the lost palace of the biblical King David. Hidden beneath the palace in the heart of a labyrinth, is the king’s sword, used to behead Goliath. The terrorists plan to steal the sword and use it to launch the ultimate jihad. They are missing one thing: the key to David’s labyrinth. If it is not surrendered to them within seven days, they will kill the archaeologist and spark a war between Saudi Arabia and the USA.
With an official investigation hindered by foreign relations, Jack takes matters into his own hands. Joined by his friend Dex, Sharpe’s witty but journalist-wary daughter Elizabeth, and her eccentric uncle Campbell, Jack embarks on a mission to rescue Sharpe and defend the Sword from the terrorists. The stakes rise as they uncover a sinister political scandal and realize that their best allies may be their worst enemies. All the while, Jack grapples with an internal battle that has haunted him since he served in the Gulf War five years earlier.
As his world threatens to crumble, Jack finds himself faced with the most difficult choice of his career: to make history, or to save it.
