Jack Hale

It’s 1996. Young Marine-turned-journalist Jack Hale is sent to Saudi Arabia to cover a diplomatic visit. Shortly after his arrival, esteemed archaeologist Dr. Aaron Sharpe is kidnapped.

His abductors are Islamic terrorists in search of King David’s sword. If they obtain the blade, they will use it to inspire the ultimate jihad. If they do not, they will kill Sharpe and spark a war between Saudi Arabia and the USA.

With an official investigation hindered by foreign relations, Jack takes matters into his own hands, joined by his friend Dex, Sharpe’s journalist-wary daughter Elizabeth, and her eccentric uncle Campbell.

The stakes rise as they uncover a sinister political scandal and discover that their best allies may be their worst enemies. All the while, Jack grapples with an internal battle that has haunted him since he served in the Gulf War five years earlier.
